AFL SUPERKICK

From 2027, Superkick will become the next step for Year 2 players, with Year 2 participants transitioning from Auskick into Superkick.

This change is part of our focus on creating a stronger transition pathway for young players as they progress through their early years of football.

We know that the transition from Auskick into junior football is an important stage in a child’s football journey. Superkick has been designed to provide a more engaging and age-appropriate experience for children as they develop their skills, confidence and enjoyment of the game.

The aim is to:

Keep children engaged and excited about football as they progress beyond Auskick
Provide a clear and supported transition into junior club football
Continue developing fundamental skills while introducing more game-based experiences
Help retain more children in football as they move through the early stages of their playing journey
